Trip Report - Six Flags Trip 1
We got to the park just before 7:30 (had to grab food before we left).
Batman first row - nice way to start. But her burger was not quite settled yet. So we took our time before making our way to the FlashBack, where I freaked out (as usual) as they pullled us backwards up the first “hill”. It’s so much fun to scream!
Then onto Mr. Freeze, where we waited for the front seat, only to be informed that the ride broke (again - it did this the first time I went this year). So no Mr. Freeze ![]()
Next we went wandering and found ourselves at Judge Roy Scream - wooden - blah, and just so dinky compared to the Titan. But the camel humps are fun!
Then to the shockwave - Front Row - lots of screaming and we got splattered in the face with what I think were tree leaves, or seeds. Nothing damaging, just a sprinkling of something rough-ish.
Next we went to find the Titan. Hardly a line! Whoo hoo! So we rode 2nd from the front and my heart was POUNDING as we creeped our way up the looooong 255 feet to the top of the hill. There it seemed like a sloooow crawl over the hill, and then looking straight down…..nothing….nothing but track. And the screaming begins……as we approached top speed of 85 mph, we swooshed through the underground tunnel (can’t resist that urge to duck!) Then on to more hills and spirals (tunnel vision!). Then finally 5,312 feet later we came to our stop.
AGAIN!
This time we waited for the very front row. It is so worth it. But I don’t think I can handle it the first time. I have to survive that first ride, not in the front, before I can deal with the front seat.
This time the camera that catches you as you go into the tunnel after the first hill, caught an almost pornogaphic picture of us. See, in the front row, there’s no stopping the breeze. And well with um the free fall thing. Well things go up, and clothes get plastered against you. Well, lets just say that you could probably estimate our cup sizes very accurately from that picture!
Then to settls ourselves before heading home, we rode the conquestador - which is still a lot of fun. And since we were dripping with sweat, in the sweltering breezeless Texas summer heat - we decided the splash down was the best way to end the evening.
They made us ride twice in a row - becuase, well - everyone else in the boat wanted to go again, and our puny voices couldnt’ be heard over 8 tripping teenage girls a dad and 2 very wet, very happy 5 and 7 yrl olds (to my best guess).
Yeah after that ride I’m surprised they didn’t get me for indecent exposure. *sigh*
Then back home (after my barefoot cheeto run/Brit-Brit impression at the local conoco). There I was too wound up to go to sleep and was up until way past my bedtime - 1:30ish I think.
So that was 6 flags last night. More fun tonight!
