Sunday, on our way back from T-town via Mac-Town, we stopped at Denny’s for dinner. It was the only place in town open, so it was really hopping.
I won’t go into how icky and greasy, and exploded kiddery it was, or the crappy service. No, I’m hear to tell you that either the McAlester Denny’s is haunted, or their syrup is. After the waitress sat down the syrup, I watched it move no less than 6 times across the table. Phlome saw it at least 3 of those times. The first time was the most obvious. Still, had it only moved once, I would have assumed I’d mis-seen it. But it continued to do so several times.
It doesn’t help that the day before, his whole family discussed the various hauntings at their respective houses. I personally am a skeptic, but damn that stuff freaks me out.
My christmas gifts this year included:
An Ankle length Charcoal grey skirt
2 3/4 sleeve blouses (violet and turquoise)
2 dressy outfits from mom
A blue sweater and earrings from Phlome’s step mom
a new white purse + BBW lotion etc. from his Mom
$$
Car emergency safety kit
Phlome and I both got a Slow Cooker/Crock pot from my mom, and some gardening tools from my aunt.
I’ll let him list his list on his own blog, but one of his gifts made our dinner last night!

I’m not gonna let my birthday sneak by.
*Cue Shameless Self Promotion*
My birthday is coming up a week and a half after Christmas. That’s January 4th for those who are counting. I sent out evites for those in town. If anyone else is gonna be in the Dallas area for New Years, and hasn’t yet told us (shame on you), let me know.
I love Phlome. I really really do. But sometimes he can be such a BOY! Of course that’s also one of the reasons I love him. I asked him this weekend to send out the evite for my b-day. When he hadn’t by Monday I sent out my own. I’m rather impatient too.
So yes - I’m plugging my own birthday this year (wait, I think I did last year too). Fine, call me an attention whore. But I’m an only child, and am used to people making a big deal out of my birthday. I never had to say anything before, but now that my fam is 250 miles away, I have to blatantly self-promote. Sometimes I feel bad, then I think of those folks who bitch and moan about no one paying attention to their birthdays, when no one knew, because no one told us. Then I realize - I prefer being an attention whore than a wall-flower on my birthday.
I’ll be 28, btw.

If you are easily offended, or under the age of 17 move along. There’s nothing here for you.
Now Go AWAY.
This little girl greeted Phlome this morning as he was trying to leave for work.
We left her some food, water, and a blanket. If she’s still around the house when we get home, a friend from his work is going to adopt her. I think we both would have gladly kept her for ourselves, but we just can’t handle more than 2 dog as it is right now. But OMG she’s just so adorable!
As of today it has been exactly one year since Phlome “popped the question.”
Go check out the archives for the full story (if you don’t remember, or haven’t heard it recently enough.)
I also just aced my Marketing final - or at least it feels like I did - Actually that was a couple hours ago - it took me about an hour to do 10 essays. Not bad, and I feel really good about it. No more classes until he 2nd of Jan. Yay winter break!
I love the internet.
This video alwasy brings a smile to my face.
*sigh*
Build Me Up Buttercup
Ok - so I removed the live video - so now you can go to the site if you want to see it. I won’t force it upon you. Though I was kind of hoping for some bitchy comments. All I got was mild irritation from Phlome.
How disappointing…
Office closed today. Phlome’s too. Difference is, he’s off work, I’m working from home. So I actually have to be online, answering emails and stuff.
