Today starts day 1 of 4 weeks in which I play den mother to 5 boys and 1 girl in town for training. I take them out and keep them entertained for 4 weeks. Twice a week we go to dinner - company pays for it. So to some it may seem like a great idea to get to go out on the company twice a week for 4 weeks, plus a Rangers game, plus very possible a trip to 6 flags.
And it may be just fine - but it also means I don’t get to go home til like 10 twice a week, and I have to sacrifice a couple of my weekends - I already spend all day yesterday picking people up at airports.
And I have to be to work before 8 every day.
I’m really hoping things don’t turn out like I fear, and I am actually able to enjoy a few company perks and not just stress out over them.
Our wildlife kick’s FJ’s wildlife’s ass.
That’s all I have to say.
This has me very intrigued.
I’m tempted. However, to participate I’d have to create a list of books I’m willing to part with. And except for the one my dog ate, I’m very unwilling to part with my books. Ok - so I have not yet in fact parted with the book my dog ate. It’s still in my back seat. You can read most of it really - it’s just the last 30 or so pages that have been completely mauled. The 75 or so before that you can gleane the meaning of from the context. And the 50 or so before that are just missing a few words around the corners, not really even worth mentioning.
Oh and I should thank Elanna for buying the replacement book and giving it me after she read it. So now I only have 3 copies of the book: 1 hardback, 1 complete paperback, one mauled paperback.
I’ll have to read more on this to determine if it’s something I want to be a part of.
It’s finally friday - you’d think with such a short week it woudlnt’ be so bad - but I’m feeling so very overwhelmed at work. I’ve got a lot on my shoulders, and one of the ladies who’s supposed to have been helping me out some, has been MIA for the last two weeks, so her project has gotten pushed out since. When she gets back next week I think my head just might explode. Too much going on at once!
If I weren’t waiting for my boss to call so we can get started on a presentation I have to present to the VPs and Management on Thursday (because he’ll be on an airplane - thank God it’s via conf call) I’d be home right now.
