I got my new phone yesterday. I love it.

I visited my dad down in Houston this past weekend. He’s doing well. His cousin has a small beach house down in Port O’connor - an unincorporated area on the coast, about 3 hours south of Houston.
So, I heard back from Ramon again, and it turns out that the bueno I got the rubbery tortillas from, has done away with them. I’m tempted to go up there and test it out today for lunch. It is right by the Target I’d planned on going to, to find a new bathing suit for this weekend.
So far, I have managed to
A) Bring back potatoe cakes and the french dip to Arby’s (though I’m greatly disappointed in the French Dip now)
B) Bring back the spinach chicken salad to Wendy’s
C) Bring back good tortillas to Bueno
I rock.
Now if only I can find a swim suit at Target I like…
OK - so due to our resent acquisition, we now all have to have ID badges. Photo ID Badges. So we’re having people submit their photos, and giving them the requirements for the photo. Some try harder than others. Today I started going through some of the submitted pics just to compare them to one that I wasn’t sure would be approved. Evidently not everyone is as meticulous as I am about checking the photos. One I saw of a lady is just completely wrong. It’s all sorts of distorted and blurry. There were more than one that looked suspiciously like mugshots. Though I think that’s just they way those guys photograph. I saw at least one girl who needs a friend to tell her not to where cotton candy pink lipstick. Gonna have to either scrounge up and old pic and hope it works, or just take a new one with the dig. camera at home when I get a chance.
So I finally sent the email to Ramon, and he got back with me quickly. Seems the Bueno I go to is the only one in Irving that they’ve changed the tortillas on. Which kinda makes me want to go out ot my way to the other bueno so I can get the tortillas I like. I asked if any of the Oklahoma Bueno’s have changed their tortillas since, I think that’s where I first noticed the rubbery tortillas. Of course there is a chance I got confused and it wasn’t a Bueno I went to, but another not so bueno, taco place.
Ramon asked where he could send me some “free dinner” cards. whoot! Free Bueno Dinners!! I wonder what a free dinner consists of? Is it a value I can apply to whatever I want to make my dinner of? Or do I have to get a dinner meal? I guess we’ll see soon.
I recently signed up for a free blockbuster online trial. I’m liking it so far. What I like best is the way the movie swapping at the store works. I assumed, that if I swapped one I got in the mail, at a store, I would then have to wait until I returned the movie, before my next movie was mailed out. I was wrong. Basically any movie you get through the mail works like a coupon for a free movie at blockbuster. As soon as they scan in the movie you got in the mail at the register, blockbuster online considers it “recieved” and ships your next movie. So I returned 2 movies at the store, got 2 to take home, and yesterday got 2 more in the mail. So right now I have 5 blockbuster movies, 2 of which are due saturday, the other 3 whenever I decide to send them back.
BTW - This whole blockbuster thing online is my idea. I made the suggestion years ago, not long after netflix came out, and long before blockbuster decided to compete w/ them. I told Phlome, that blockbuster already had the advantage, of physical locations. They should combine a netflix type option w/ the ability to exchange movies in their stores, so people wouldn’t have to wait for the mail if they didn’t want to.
I should get royalties.
I have watched:
Marie Antoinette: good like candy - entertaining but no substance
The Queen: OMG - not what I was expecting - boring as all hell, and only coveres about a week of the current Queen Elizabeth’s life (Tony Blair’s election through Princess Diana’s funeral).
I have:
Reefer Madnees (started watching it, but am going to wait to see if Phlome wants to watch it w/ me)
The Aristocrats (I think Phlome will want to watch this too)
Memoirs of a Geisha (I didnt’ hear much in the way of good reviews, but want to see it anyway)
